1. What HeadlineImage is

HeadlineImage ("we," "us," "HeadlineImage") is a web-based tool for creating social and headline images. You ("you," "the customer") use it under a paid subscription plan (Creator, Publisher, or Newsroom) billed through Stripe, with a 14-day trial on new subscriptions.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. One account is intended for one individual or one newsroom seat, depending on your plan — see your plan's seat limits.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or yearly, as chosen at checkout) until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account's billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals but does not itself refund the current period — see our Refund Policy. Prices are as shown at checkout and may change with notice for future billing periods.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use HeadlineImage to create images that are unlawful, defamatory, infringing, fraudulent, or that impersonate a real news outlet, person, or organization you're not authorized to represent. We may suspend accounts used in violation of this section.

5. Your content and images

You retain ownership of the photos, text, and headlines you upload or create. You're responsible for having the rights to any photo you use. We do not claim ownership over your exported images. Outlet-specific templates (brand-locked presets) are provided for that outlet's own use in representing itself — not for use by other accounts.

6. Service availability

We aim for reliable uptime but don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We're not liable for losses caused by service downtime, export failures, or third-party outages (including our payment processor, Stripe).

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, HeadlineImage's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date; continued use after a change means you accept the update.
